Of rum and tea and roy

Post By: Kaya
Listening To: The delicious humming from my laptop
Food/Drink: Rum Tea
Thinking about: How long it has been since this blog was last updated.

Initially I was waiting for Bec to post, so that we could take it in turns, but if I do that it may take some time, so I figured I'd just keep posting and see what happens! Read on ~!

My super secret evil plan (that isn't that secret or evil) has been completed! and this is the result:

Yes. You see it. My very own cranial shrub! This is my brain child. Created with :
  • 1 skull
  • Cress seeds
  • Water.
A rather simple brain child, with cress for brains.

I even made it into a .gif, so you can see it in all it's glory :)

And on another matter, you may have noticed above I am drinking "rum tea". I am fond of my tea, and decided to experiment a little. By adding rum to it! Now I have concluded that - it is very nice.
(Don't be silly, there is no milk in here! milk and rum, I do not fancy that. P.S. Bec, lets have some rum tea soon)

For the rum tea, I found a few recipes, most of which involved a lot of boiling and adding of things like lemon zest and cinnamon, however, I decided to follow the simplest recipe, because I am lazy. It involved making a cup of traditional English tea, adding a shot (or 1 measure or 25ml) of rum, and adding sugar to taste. (however, I think my measurements were a bit off... ;] )

I think this would be one of those drinks that would warm you up when you have come back from traversing the great snowy wilderness. Tired and cold and hungry. So you sit, and have a nice warm rum tea. and then you pig out on some broth or something. Mmmm broth. And bread and butter.

over and out.

  1. I don't know that rum tea really appeals to me.

I laughed at the "brain child". :)
